Kia Ora

Wairarapa Addiction Service Incorporated (WASI) was formed following the closure of Totara House (which offered residential AOD programmes to people throughout New Zealand) at 20 Victoria Street Masterton and formed what is now the community AOD (Alcohol & Other Drugs) service in 1993.

Over the last six years Wasi has increased its profile throughout the region and now offers a full range of specialist addiction services to all people of the Wairarapa.

If you, a friend, colleague, or family member has a problem with alcohol, other drugs or gambling, WASI can support and help you deal with this.

Wasi is funded by the WDHB to offer the following:

Gambling Help

There is no Casino in Wairarapa. So what's the problem? People may think we are not at great risk compared to somewhere like Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown.
