Youth Education, Assessment and Treatment
WASI's youth service is here so that young people can get some support for themselves or someone else with their alcohol and other drug use.
We provide a confidential service where youth can get information, education and support.
A youth counsellor will see anyone up to roughly 25 years old. It is all confidential and free. A counsellor home-visit can be arranged for people who would otherwise feel too uncomfortable to come into the office.
There doesn't have to be a crisis or problem for people to call in, you might just want to ask for information i.e. information for a study project.
You can ring up, walk in, come with a friend (or two) or your Doctor or someone else can refer you.
If you are a bit worried about a friend you can pop in and see how WASI can help.
Dawn and Jo are youth specialised counsellors at Wasi and are here to help
Please feel free to pop in, phone, email or text Jo 0272449618 or Dawn 0275005028 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri. After hours you can contact Youthline: 0800 376 633 or the Alcohol drug helpline: 0800 787 797 10am-10pm daily.
